Project 2: Nakusp Water Treatment Plant

Nakusp presently has chlorination treatment only on their surface water source. A project has been approved to pre-screen, and filter the Village drinking water obtained from creek sources. The project will include a filtration plant building with UV treatment, backed up by a generator.

The project also will include a 50 KW hydropower generator generating power from the approximately 200 m of head developed by the gravity feed source piping, already in place.

Delterra was successful in obtaining a 100% grant funding for this project, with the support of mayor and council.
